Job Description:
Our client is seeking a strategic technical leader to drive GitHub Copilot adoption across complex enterprise environments. This role focuses heavily on legacy systems (Java, .NET, C/C++, scripting), COTS integrations, and the development of custom Copilot agents that support modernization and developer productivity.
You will partner with engineering, architecture, and leadership teams to shape Copilot strategy, deliver quarterly implementation milestones, and enable broad organizational adoption.

Requirements:
Copilot Strategy & Assessment
- Define adoption roadmaps aligned to quarterly delivery cycles.
- Evaluate current development workflows and identify opportunities for Copilot adoption across legacy and modern stacks.
Implementation & Agent Development
- Lead end‑to‑end deployment of GitHub Copilot features and custom agents.
- Oversee agent requirements, design, and integration for legacy systems and COTS applications.
Legacy System Enablement
- Develop Copilot usage patterns tailored to Java, .NET, C/C++, and scripting environments.
- Support teams in applying Copilot to modernization, refactoring, and code‑quality initiatives.
Stakeholder & Change Management
- Partner with engineering leaders, architects, and business stakeholders to drive adoption.
- Communicate progress, risks, and KPIs across technical and non‑technical audiences.
Training & Organizational Enablement
- Establish KPIs to measure adoption success and productivity impact.
- Build and deliver Copilot training programs for developers and technical teams.
Qualifications/Must-Haves:
- Excellent communication and consultative skills.
- Experience in applying Generative AI technologies in business settings.
- 8+ years in technical leadership roles within software engineering or platform engineering.
- Deep hands‑on experience with Java, .NET, and C/C++ in enterprise or legacy environments.
- Proven experience implementing GitHub Copilot and/or developing custom Copilot agents.
- Strong project management capabilities, including delivery within structured milestones.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field preferred; candidates with 7+ years of technical leadership and proven GitHub Copilot adoption experience may qualify in lieu of a formal degree.
