Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Quality Control Manager to own the Quality Management System, drive AS9100D/ISO 9001 compliance, elevate inspection performance, and partner closely with Production and Engineering to ensure product excellence. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who thrives in a precision‑driven, fast‑paced environment.

Requirements:
Quality Strategy & Systems Management
- Lead internal and external audits with confidence and accuracy.
- Drive corrective action, root cause analysis, and preventative initiatives.
- Serve as the primary quality liaison with customers and regulatory bodies.
- Own, maintain, and continuously improve the AS9100D / ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
- Implement and enforce quality standards across all manufacturing operations.
- Monitor product quality throughout production to ensure consistency and compliance.
Operational Partnership
- Provide data‑driven insights on quality metrics and trends.
- Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Collaborate with Production and Engineering to reduce defects and improve processes.
Hands‑On Oversight
- Review and approve First Article Inspections (FAIs)
- Ensure proper use of inspection equipment, including CMM.
- Oversee and perform incoming, in‑process, and final inspections as needed.
Leadership & Development
- Align quality objectives with company growth goals.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Quality Control Inspectors.
- Establish performance standards, accountability, and training plans.
- Build a culture focused on precision, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications/Must-Haves:
- Technical proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T.
- Strong leadership presence and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Proven ability to lead audits and drive system improvements.
- Proficiency in quality control methods, inspection processes, and measurement tools.
- 7+ years of quality leadership experience in CNC machining or similar manufacturing environment.
- All education levels considered; technical school training or equivalent hands‑on experience is fully acceptable.
Preferred Skills:
- Continuous improvement or Lean/6σ exposure.
- Experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing.
- Familiarity with CMM programming or advanced inspection technologies.
