Job Description:

Our client is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor/Maintenance Manager to lead a team of maintenance technicians in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting production through strong technical leadership. It is well-suited for an experienced supervisor or a high-performing lead technician ready to step into a leadership role.

Requirements:

  • Ensure compliance with all safety and GMP requirements.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Maintenance Technicians.
  • Support production by responding quickly to equipment failures.
  • Partner with production leadership to meet operational goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.
  • Ensure completion of preventative and predictive maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain accurate work orders, logs, and maintenance documentation.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical equipment issues and drive downtime reduction.
  • Assist with parts inventory, vendor coordination, and facility maintenance.
  • Prioritize and schedule daily maintenance activities based on production needs.

Qualifications/Must-Haves:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with preventative/predictive maintenance practices.
  • 5+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills (motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, valves, etc.)

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in food production, beverage, or other GMP-regulated environments.
  • Basic PLC/HMI troubleshooting (diagnostics, ladder logic familiarity, fault isolation)
  • Leadership or lead technician experience (scheduling, coaching, training, or supervising technicians)
  • Experience with CMMS systems (creating/closing work orders, scheduling PMs, tracking parts)
  • Multi-trade experience (electrical, HVAC, compressors, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics)

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Requires hands-on troubleshooting and equipment work.
  • May involve exposure to wet, cold, hot, or sanitation-cycle environments typical of food production.
