Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead and directs hourly production employees to meet daily production schedules while ensuring safety, product quality, efficiency, and compliance with food manufacturing standards. This role is hands‑on, floor‑focused, and essential to maintaining smooth operations in a USDA‑regulated environment.
Onsite | No Visa Sponsorship | No Relocation Assistance
Work Schedules:
- 1st Shift: 7AM–5PM (Monday–Friday; occasional weekends as needed)
- 2nd Shift: 4PM–1AM (Monday–Friday; occasional weekends as needed)
Requirements:
Production Leadership
- Support employee engagement, labor relations, and team development.
- Lead and organize daily production activities to meet schedule, yield, efficiency, uptime, and labor cost targets.
- Direct hourly associates in job placement, training, performance expectations, and daily workflow.
Quality & Food Safety
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant production environment.
- Reduce risk by enforcing plant safety, sanitation, and quality protocols.
- Monitor quality checks to ensure compliance with product specifications and food safety standards.
Safety & Risk Management
- Promote a culture of safety and accountability.
- Ensure employees follow safety procedures and use proper PPE.
- Identify hazards, escalate issues, and support corrective actions.
Process Improvement
- Support training plans that align with operational goals.
- Participate in process improvement, product development, and efficiency initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Superintendent and Operations Manager on continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications/Must-Haves:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
- Willingness to work 1st or 2nd shift and occasional weekends.
- Strong decision‑making skills with the ability to work independently.
- Highly organized with strong communication and leadership capabilities.
- Proven ability to lead hourly teams in a fast‑paced, regulated environment.
- Comfortable working in strong smells, loud noise, hot/cold, refrigerated, and freezer environments.
- 3+ years of progressive supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience in food manufacturing.
- Experience with process improvement or product development.
- Familiarity with yield, efficiency, labor cost, and uptime metrics.
- Experience developing training plans or improving employee engagement.
Work Environment:
- Very loud environment: PPE required.
- Work performed primarily in refrigerated or freezer conditions.
- Frequent standing, walking, and working near moving mechanical parts.
