Job Description:

Our client is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment including kilns, furnaces, presses, vacuum systems, and other high‑temperature or precision machinery. This role supports uptime, safety, and equipment reliability across the plant.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in occasional on‑call or overtime work.
  • Maintain spare‑parts inventory and assist with ordering.
  • Perform tool and die setups on presses and grinding equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and upgrades of production equipment.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve equipment issues.
  • Use Fiix or similar CMMS to schedule, track, and document maintenance work.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Diagnose equipment issues, perform PLC fault finding, and support basic PLC programming.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and participate in continuous‑improvement efforts.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on kilns, furnaces, presses, vacuum systems, and related equipment.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • CMMS proficiency (Fiix preferred)
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • 3+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • Experience with PLC fault finding, sensors, and industrial control systems.
  • Familiarity with kilns, ovens, furnaces, vacuum systems, or similar high‑temperature equipment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of 5S, lean, or TPM practices.
  • NCCER, journeyman license, or similar mechanical/electrical certification.
  • Experience in ceramics, glass, refractories, or high‑precision manufacturing.
  • Associate degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field.

Physical Requirements:

  • Availability for overtime, weekend work, or call‑outs as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing.
  • Comfortable working in high‑temperature, noisy, or dusty environments (PPE provided)
