Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Commercial Construction Scheduler/Planner to support capital projects across multiple sites. This role is part of a project controls team responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing schedules for construction and facilities-related initiatives within an industrial or energy‑sector environment.
The position requires strong proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and advanced scheduling methodologies, along with experience supporting construction, plant operations, or facilities maintenance projects.

Please Note: This role has two strict, non‑negotiable requirements. Candidates who do not meet both will not be considered:
- 5 years of management experience (team leadership, contractor oversight, or supervisory responsibility)
- 3 years of hands‑on experience in facilities maintenance, plant operations, or engineering services
Requirements:
Scheduling & Project Controls
- Develop, update, and maintain project schedules on a weekly basis.
- Support schedule/cost reporting and contribute to project control processes.
- Prepare monthly schedule analyses and status reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform critical path analysis, baseline management, schedule logic reviews, and progress measurement.
- Identify schedule risks and support mitigation strategies through direct coordination with project managers, engineers, and field personnel.
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules and integrated master schedules based on defined work packages.
Construction & Project Support
- Monitor project progress to ensure work is completed on time and within scope.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project activities align with schedule requirements.
- Assist with quality control, safety coordination, and adherence to project specifications.
- Support project engineering activities, including design reviews and ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
- Perform administrative tasks such as meeting coordination, documentation management, and stakeholder communication.
Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- 4+ years of direct project controls experience using Primavera P6.
- 5+ years of experience in a project, construction, or team‑lead capacity.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, multi‑site environment.
- Formal training in project scheduling techniques and associated software.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, plant operations, engineering services, or industrial construction environments.
- Proficiency with MS Project and advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Writer, Visio)
- Advanced understanding of scheduling logic, documentation processes, and project controls methodologies.
Preferred Skills:
- Professional certifications such as PSP, PMI‑SP, or PMP.
- Experience supporting capital projects in industrial, energy, or large commercial environments.
- Familiarity with integrated facilities management or multi‑site construction programs.
