Job Description:
Our client is seeking a junior level Respiratory Therapist to provide high‑quality respiratory care in an acute‑care setting. This role is ideal for a clinically strong RT who values teamwork, patient connection, and a supportive rural‑hospital environment.
The Respiratory Therapist provides diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care to patients with breathing disorders. This includes performing assessments, administering treatments, responding to emergencies, and maintaining respiratory equipment in accordance with best practices and clinical standards.

Work Schedule: Day Shift | 6AM–6PM
Compensation:
- CRTs: $52,300–$67,500
- RRTs: $56,500–$72,900
Responsibilities:
- Perform and interpret arterial blood gas analysis.
- Respond to codes and emergent respiratory situations.
- Manage respiratory supplies and medical gas cylinders.
- Clean, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment.
- Monitor patient response to therapy and document clinical progress.
- Perform patient assessments and conduct diagnostic respiratory testing.
- Collaborate with physicians to implement individualized treatment plans.
- Administer respiratory therapies, medications, and physiotherapy treatments.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and equipment use.
- Follow all hospital policies, safety standards, and evidence‑based practices.
Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- NBRC certification as a CRT or RRT.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work 12‑hour day shifts (6AM–6PM)
- Strong clinical assessment and patient‑care skills.
- Utah Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license upon hire.
Preferred Skills:
- ACLS, PALS, or NRP certifications.
- Strong patient‑education and communication skills.
- Experience in acute care, emergency care, or critical care.
- Familiarity with respiratory equipment maintenance and calibration.
