Job Description:

Our client is seeking experienced Dealer Auditors to support warranty compliance across a national automotive dealer network. This role focuses on conducting warranty audits, reviewing repair documentation, identifying noncompliance, and ensuring consistent application of warranty policies and procedures. The position requires strong analytical skills, automotive technical knowledge, and the ability to communicate findings clearly and professionally to dealership and internal stakeholders.

This is a field‑based role with regular travel to dealerships within your assigned region.

Contract Duration: 1–2 years, with potential for contract‑to‑hire depending on business needs | W2

Work Schedule: Hours vary based on region, dealership schedules, and travel requirements

Please Note: Regional travel within approximately a 6‑hour radius; company‑provided vehicle; hotel reimbursement when travel exceeds 90 minutes from home.

Locations: Pittsburgh, PA | New York Metro | New Jersey | Buffalo, NY | Rochester, NY | Syracuse, NY | Pennsylvania (multiple markets)

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize data analytics to identify patterns and improve overall dealer compliance.
  • Conduct detailed audits of dealer warranty claim submissions and initiate chargebacks when appropriate.
  • Review repair order documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with warranty policies.
  • Prepare and deliver audit communications, including notification letters and audit result reports.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with required record‑retention standards.
  • Analyze warranty KPIs and claim patterns to identify trends, risks, and potential deviations.
  • Collaborate with dealership management, regional operations teams, and internal corporate teams.
  • Provide training and guidance to dealership personnel to improve warranty compliance.
  • Support additional dealer network initiatives, including facility inspections and internal audit projects.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office/O365.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and detail‑oriented skill set.
  • Knowledge of risk management principles and internal controls.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and travel requirements.
  • Understanding of franchised dealership operations and processes.
  • Bachelor's degree OR 5+ years of automotive retail experience with strong technical and warranty exposure.
  • 5–7+ years of combined experience in: Automotive Retail Operations (especially fixed operations), Automotive Technical Systems, Diagnostics, and Repair Procedures.
  • Ability to navigate differing perspectives and build trust with dealerships and internal stakeholders.
