Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to support day‑to‑day accounting operations, inventory and job cost management, and financial planning activities. This role is highly visible within the business unit and requires strong manufacturing accounting experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
The Senior Accountant will partner closely with operations, finance leadership, and cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and effective support of business performance.

Requirements:
General Accounting Management
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Support external audits (financial, customer, regulatory)
- Lead customer collection activities to support consistent cash flow.
- Support operating managers with accounting transactions and inquiries.
- Oversee milestone billing to ensure timely invoicing and liability relief.
- Develop and manage internal control testing to safeguard company assets.
- Record and reconcile daily cash activity; maintain weekly cash flow analysis.
- Participate in month‑end close to ensure timely and accurate financial results.
- Support preparation of monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Identify and implement process improvements and lean initiatives within finance.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including tax requirements.
Job Cost & Inventory Management
- Review job cost results and provide insights to operating managers.
- Oversee annual physical inventory and minimize operational disruption.
- Identify opportunities to reduce inventory levels in partnership with operations.
- Support operational reviews of financial results with functional leaders and site leadership.
- Lead finance's role in cycle counting to ensure accurate inventory levels and valuation.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Support annual budgeting processes.
- Perform ROI analyses for capital expenditure requests.
- Support monthly forecasting and tracking of key performance indicators.
- Conduct ad‑hoc financial analysis for management and executive teams.
Qualifications/Must-Haves:
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- High integrity and commitment to accuracy.
- Experience in a manufacturing accounting environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory accounting and job costing.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate cross‑functionally.
- Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, formulas, analysis)
- Experience supporting audits and maintaining internal controls.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Clear communication skills and comfort working with operations and leadership.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with JobBOSS or similar manufacturing ERP.
- Prior involvement in forecasting, budgeting, or FP&A activities.
